What we are looking for: The Renewals Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and customer retention by managing the renewal process for Support Level Agreements (SLAs), Software Support and Maintenance contracts and Software subscriptions (SaaS or OPEX). With a focus on relationship management, revenue optimization, and process improvement, this role is essential for ensuring the long-term success of the business. The Renewals Manager will ensure the continuity and growth of revenue through managing the renewal process for SLAs, Software Support and Maintenance contracts as well as Software subscriptions. They will require a combination of sales acumen, relationship management, and analytical skills to drive successful renewals and maximize customer retention. The Renewals Manager will also ensure accurate costing of the SLAs by liaising with third party manufacturers, and will maintain accurate, detailed lists of products included in each SLA/Software Maintenance/Software subscription. Renewal Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive renewal strategies for SLAs, Software Support and Maintenance contracts and Software subscriptions. Analyse renewal trends, customer feedback, and market dynamics to refine renewal strategies and improve renewal rates. Renewal Process Management: Own the end-to-end renewal process, including correct contract costing, preparation, negotiation (when applicable), and closure. Proactively engage with suppliers (for costs), and customers prior to renewal to understand their needs, address concerns, and secure timely renewals. Collaborate with Sales, Support and Operations and Finance teams to ensure seamless execution of renewal transactions. Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations, including decision-makers and influencers. Act as the primary point of contact for customers during the renewal process, providing exceptional service and support to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. Revenue Optimization: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities during the renewal process to maximize revenue and customer lifetime value. Collaborate with Sales and Support teams to develop compelling value propositions and upsell strategies tailored to each customer's needs and objectives in line with company margin targets. Forecasting and Reporting: Track renewal performance metrics, including renewal rates, churn rates, and revenue retention, and provide regular reports and analysis to leadership. Forecast renewal revenue and margin and identify risks and opportunities to achieve renewal targets. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and streamline the renewal process to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer experience. Identify and implement automation tools and best practices to optimize the renewal workflow and reduce manual effort. What you will need: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field is highly desirable. Proven experience in sales, account management, or customer success, with a strong focus on Support renewal management preferably in the technology industry. Demonstrable negotiation skills and the ability to influence and persuade customers effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers and internal stakeholders. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and derive insights to inform decision-making. Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple renewal transactions simultaneously. Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot), ClickUp and broader Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of PowerBI and Excel is required.
