THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is currently seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant to join their supportive & high-achieving Finance team.
* Annual statutory financial reporting for multi-site businesses across Australia
* Delivery of accurate and timely monthly financial reporting and commentary
* Assisting with the external audit process and shareholder reporting
* Manage the quarterly and annual taxation functions and ensure effective tax planning is in place
* Complete EOM checklist and preparation of management accounts within required deadlines, including reforecast and analysis of results.
* Weekly Performance and Payroll reports preparation and analysis for management and the Board
* Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
* Create and manage the payment plan and perform the payable payment process weekly.
* Daily bank reconciliation and cash flow forecasting.
* Process accurate and timely customer invoicing and facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting customers.
* Accurately process of payroll.
* Store petty cash reconciliations.
* Reconcile daily sales journals.
ABOUT YOU
As the ideal candidate you will possess the following experience and traits:
* Qualified CA or CPA with 2 – 3+ years’ post qual experience within a commercial organization
* Strong, technical accounting knowledge and experience producing monthly / annual accounts
* Experience implementing systems improvements and how they relate to the Accounting function.
* Evidence of successful cross-team engagement and influencing skills.
* Be highly motivated, proactive and have a thirst for learning
