ST TALENT are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant on behalf of an established business based in Leeds.
This Accounts Assistant role would suit someone with previous experience within a finance or accounts environment who is looking to join a supportive and professional team. The successful Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the finance function, assisting with invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and maintain customer and supplier accounts
• Assess and process new credit applications
• Review and adjust customer credit limits where required
• Process sales and purchase invoices
• Manage supplier payments and customer receipts
• Process employee expenses
• Carry out bank reconciliations
• Support weekly wage processing with training provided
• Maintain financial records and spreadsheets
• Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities
Requirements:
• Previous experience working within an accounts or finance role
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organisation and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Understanding of confidentiality within a finance environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
