Overview
Asset Lead / Asset Manager role at Egis in the UK. The position is part of the Connect Plus Team for the M25 DBFO project. The role would ideally be based in the South Mimms depot, with consideration for candidates based near other depots on the M25 (e.g., Dartford or Leatherhead).
Responsibilities
* Act as the Project Sponsor in gateway meetings for structures assets lifecycle renewal projects (up to £30m per year) to ensure projects deliver expected benefits within the approved budget. Portfolio includes projects such as QEII Bridge and Dartford Tunnels.
* Work closely with the asset delivery team to optimise scope and delivery methodologies, and unblock/escalate any issues.
* Champion innovation, efficiency, and carbon reduction throughout the gateway process.
* Own and lead the continuous improvement of asset management strategies for highway structures assets across their full lifecycle (inspection, maintenance, renewal).
* Support and influence the development of the Asset Management Forward Plan to ensure proposed investments deliver benefits and meet objectives and performance indicators.
* Desirable: understand Asset Management IT systems, particularly Asset Investment Planning Toolkits.
* Promote and share asset management best practices, connecting with parent companies and relevant institutes.
What do we need from you
* Chartered Engineer with solid technical understanding of infrastructure assets, preferably structures in highways or rail sectors.
* Proven experience in sponsoring or managing complex infrastructure asset renewal projects.
* Demonstrated ability to make informed technical decisions, drive projects forward, and balance stakeholder requirements.
* Dynamic and proactive professional, capable of autonomous operation within a senior team.
