Role: Senior Compliance Advisory Manager – Investments & Savings
Location: London (Oxford Circus)
Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office
Reporting to: Chief Compliance Officer

ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a collaborative & pragmatic Senior Compliance Advisory Manager with extensive knowledge of FCA regulations relating to Wealth, Investments & Savings, to join our team at Monument. Reporting directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and partnering with our Wealth team, this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of building our Compliance function and Investments proposition from the ground up.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
* Partner with our Wealth team to provide clear and accurate technical compliance advice and conduct risk oversight across Wealth, Investments & Savings products.
* Providing Compliance advice and guidance on financial promotions, supporting both the Marketing and Wealth teams.
* Building and maintaining proactive, effective and constructive relationships, including with the Wealth, Operations and Legal teams as well as fellow Compliance team members, supporting the Chief Compliance Officer.
* Supporting the vision, strategy and direction of the Compliance function and Compliance & Conduct Risk Management at Monument, able to deputise for the Chief Compliance Officer where required.
* Supporting day to day central compliance procedural activities, including horizon scanning, gifts and entertainment, personal account dealing, conflicts of interest.
* Challenging our policies and procedures to make sure that we’re providing great client outcomes and meeting regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with the first line and wider Compliance team in creating and updating compliance policies and procedures to reflect current regulatory requirements.
* This role requires strong communication & collaboration skills with a proactive approach, to ensure that regulations and conduct risks are fully understood, and our products are designed to achieve regulatory compliance and good client outcomes.
* Support the Chief Compliance Officer in collating meaningful and accurate internal and external compliance reporting and MI, including for Executive and Board Committees.
* Support the Compliance and Risk Monitoring Manager with investigatory work and delivery of the annual compliance monitoring plan as necessary.
* Supporting compliance with Financial Crime obligations where required, providing second line support to first line Head of Financial Crime and Fraud Operations.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS
* Highly motivated individual, possessing excellent analytical skills and capable of working on own initiative and taking ownership of compliance advice.
* In-depth and practical working knowledge of the FCA Handbook relating to Retail Investments & Savings is essential, particularly Consumer Duty, COBS, BCOBS, PROD, PRIN, SYSC and DISP, with the ability to quickly and accurately interpret regulatory requirements, consultations and publications. Knowledge of CONC, CASS, COMP and PERG is desirable.
* Experience in providing compliance advice and reviewing and approving financial promotions relating to Investments & Savings is essential.
* Hands on experience with regulators, including the Variation of Permissions process is highly desirable.
* Good knowledge of broad banking compliance, particularly related to deposit taking. Good knowledge and experience of financial crime as relevant to a UK-based Bank would also be beneficial.
* Ability to thrive in fast paced environments where you can take the lead and shape new products and initiatives by building strong, mutually respectful relationships.
* Able to think strategically, solve problems, and recommend solutions that balance business and risk perspective
* Demonstratable ability to multi-task and broaden skillset, through on-the-job and self-learn.
* Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, collaborative and team player with the ability to challenge constructively and collaboratively.
* Accountable for own decisions and actions whilst respectful of the professional responsibilities of others.
* Sound knowledge of best practice compliance and risk frameworks, policies and methodologies.
* Knowledge of data protection/willingness to develop in this area.
* Experience within a FinTech or in a smaller/challenger bank high-growth business environment is desirable.
