Job Description:
Initial 12 month contract - possibility to extend and go permanent in the future!
Working hours: 36.5 hours/week with a lunchtime finish on Fridays
Schedule: 07:30-16:00 Mon - Thurs, 07:30-12:00 on Friday (some flexibility around start/finish)
Pay Rate: Up to £26.00 PAYE hourly rate plus holiday and pension contributions OR Umbrella hourly rates up to £35.00, depending on experience

Join a global team that drives progress and innovation in building a better world through their applications and products. Our client is a worldwide manufacturer of construction and mining products, seeking a Supplier APQP + PPAP Engineer.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage APQP and Cost activities from concept to PPAP, ensuring quality, cost, and timeline targets by collaborating with suppliers, design engineers, and procurement teams.
2. Implement product supply strategies aligned with category management by developing and optimizing a world-class supply network.
3. Manage quality feedback loops to ensure lessons learned are applied across the supply base.
4. Drive Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) through cost modeling and design for manufacturability, leveraging suppliers’ capabilities.
5. Travel up to 20% to European suppliers, approximately once a month or a week at a time.
Requirements:
1. 5+ years of experience in supplier management and product development, with knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and AIAG standards within Automotive or Off-highway industries.
2. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal and external partners.
3. Experience managing suppliers to meet delivery and quality specifications.
4. Data-driven decision-making skills, utilizing advanced data analysis methodologies.
5. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
6. Proficiency with PC software; training on client-specific software will be provided.
7. British citizenship required for security clearance.
