Job Overview
My Client in the heart of the North East is looking to add another vet to the team. Ideally positioned for easy access to both Sunderland and Newcastle, this role is primarily based at a newly refurbished small animal practice in South Tyneside with one day each week spent at the South Shields branch, where you will work sole charge in a consult‑only capacity.
The main site has recently moved into a purpose‑built hub offering modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed facilities. The practice includes four consulting rooms, two theatres, dedicated prep areas, a dental suite, an x‑ray suite and a quiet room for sensitive conversations. With digital radiography, ultrasonography, dental radiography, an in‑house laboratory and the recent introduction of laparotomy spays, they are well equipped to support excellent clinical standards and a varied caseload.
They pride themselves on maintaining a warm, family‑oriented atmosphere where clients and their pets feel at home. If you are seeking a place where compassion, teamwork and a welcoming culture matter just as much as clinical ability, you may find that this is the right fit for you.

Benefits
* Full‑time, 37.5 hours over four days between 8:30 am and 7 pm (part‑time arrangements considered).
* 1‑in‑4 Saturday rota.
* Salary: £40,000–£55,000 depending on experience.
* 6.6 weeks annual leave.
* CPD allowance of £1,750 with five days provided for study.
* Health Shield coverage, RCVS membership, additional VDS cover.
* Enhanced family‑friendly leave, discounted veterinary fees, wide range of discounts, and Cycle to Work scheme.
