The Role
:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will lead the integration of Ansys in the design process and contribute to product testing and development initiatives.
This role may require occasional site and customer visit.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct mechanical, fluid dynamics, and thermal analyses using manual calculations and Ansys.
2. Participate in the creation of PPAP documentation and support the quality department through the APQP process.
3. Design and issue 3D models, engineering drawings, and related documentation for manufacturing.
4. Offer technical support across Production, Sales, Service, and Customer Support departments.
5. Maintain adherence to all relevant design, regulatory, and industry standards, and train colleagues in FEA.
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working as a Mechanical Design Engineer or in a similar role.
7. Experience in finite element analysis software (preferably Ansys) and other 3D modelling software.
8. Understanding of modern 3D modelling packages.
9. Familiarity with mechanical engineering principles, including materials, fixings, and fabrication processes.
10. Expertise in plastic materials and moulding processes.
11. Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
12. Skilled in FEA / CFD analysis software.
13. Experience in the automotive sector and familiarity with electrical equipment design would be desirable.

14. Monday - Thursday: 8:15 - 17:00
15. Friday: 8:15 - 13:00
