Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant in Croydon Location: England, Greater London, Croydon Job Type: Contract, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £90 - £100 Per day Benefits: PAYE Job Duties: Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students Help students with their learning and development, including personal care if required Support students during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Work collaboratively with the teaching staff and other professionals to create a positive learning environment Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths SEN Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience Valid DBS check Education: GCSEs in English and Maths Experience: Prior experience working with children with special educational needs Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of SEN strategies and techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting students with SEN Preferred Qualifications: Higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) qualification First aid certification Working Conditions: Typical school hours, Monday to Friday Work within a classroom setting Potential requirement to assist with outdoor activities or school trips All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
