Job Title: Maths Coach

Location: Highbury and North Harbour Campuses

Salary: £9,991.41 - £10,895.16 Actual Salary, £29,074.42 - £31,704.28 Full Time Equivalent per annum

Hours of work: 15 Hours per week, 36 Weeks per year, Part-Time, Permanent (Term Time Only)

About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to become a Maths Coach at City of Portsmouth College. The role is to support students in helping them improve their skills in Maths. The Maths Coach will work with small groups of students and will be responsible for designing and delivering effective academic interventions that cater to the needs of individual students and helping them to excel in Maths. The Maths Coach will work closely with Maths Teachers to communicate student progress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Maths.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
* Plan creative learning activities.
* Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement, under the guidance of the teacher/lecturer.
* Provide encouragement and positive motivation.
* Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
* To support the student in helping them achieve their qualification.

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

* A good standard of basic education (Maths and English GCSE pass or equivalent)
* 2 to 3 A Level passes or equivalent in Maths.
* Evidence of commitment to professional development
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Background in Maths
* Computer literate
