About Our Maritime Team: We are home to one of the world’s largest groups of maritime consulting engineers and a leader in port and infrastructure development on multiple continents. We help ports and shipyards realise their digitalisation and automation ambitions, with a focus on efficiency, ROI, and sustainability across asset lifecycles. Our team integrates deep domain experience, technology, and partners to deliver smart and robust solutions, from optimising terminals to improving operating models and how data is used.
Role Context: Our asset management solutions include designing and implementing asset information systems for CMMS, developing maintenance plans (AMPs), creating Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP), improving asset management systems, and leveraging digital twin services for real-time monitoring and resilience. We seek an asset management professional to lead our growing UK-based maritime asset management specialists, acting as a subject-matter expert in early client engagement, developing opportunities, and delivering projects that create value in clients’ asset lifecycle.
Responsibilities-focused summary: Lead growth and delivery of maritime asset management services in line with ISO 55000 methodologies, develop products for ports, shipyards, harbours, defence, and offshore wind, identify opportunities, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with specialists to enhance services (BIM, CMMS, SHM, inspections).
Responsibilities
* Develop and contribute to growth strategies for maritime asset management services, applying ISO 55000 methodologies, inspections, and digital tooling.
* Create and deliver products and services for markets within ports, shipyards, harbours, defence, and offshore wind.
* Identify and develop opportunities for new maritime asset management projects by engaging with clients, regional business developers, and key account managers across the Water & Maritime business line.
* Drive the asset management discipline across the business and mentor junior team members; engage with specialists to enhance services (inspections, BIM, CMMS, SHM).
* Design and deliver projects and act as a subject-matter expert for work such as:
* Reviewing clients’ asset management systems and maturity against ISO 55000 or other standards
* Producing and improving AM policies, frameworks, strategies (SAMPs), and plans (AMPs); supporting Change Management; setting KPIs
* Asset information management from asset registers to CMMS and Digital Twin readiness
* Analysis of condition, performance, and cost data; advising on digital sensors/tools
* Advising on ways to improve asset or portfolio maintenance, performance, or resilience
Qualifications
* A degree in a relevant area
* 5–10 years’ experience in asset management for industrial infrastructure (ports, railways, airports, transport, oil & gas, heavy manufacturing, automotive, or similar)
* Experience in asset management planning, strategy implementation or development
* Experience with relevant asset management standards, particularly PAS55 and/or ISO 55000
* Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IAM, IPM, ICE, IMechE)
* Experience in the maritime sector (preferred but not essential)
* Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills, preferably across international teams
