Department Overview
* Verlingue have an established Private Clients teams based in Redhill, consisting of 14 members, managing a range of personal insurances with a key focus on household and motor.
* The team is in growth mode and opportunities to shape this role are excellent should individuals demonstrate the required skills and success in their role.
* The Private Clients teams focus is achieving ambitious profitable growth plans through the successful development and implementation of our High-Net-Worth strategy.
Key Accountabilities
General responsibilities
* Deliver the Private Clients game plan through driving the new business development and profitable growth within the Private Clients team
* Client Relationship management – you will have overall responsibility for your clients including service and broking co-ordination
* Proactively generating and executing opportunities to win new clients and grow the book
* Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Client visits to provide a personal face-to-face service to our clients.
* Maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through Continuing Professional Development (CPD) completing a minimum of 35 hours of CPD for qualified employees
* Ensure all communications, documents, invoices are issued in a compliant way in line with company Policies & Procedures and full utilisation of Acturis
New Business
* Achieve the annual Private Clients new business targets
* Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and current introducers to generate new business introductions/ referrals
* Proactively find, pitch to and build new external relationships with introducers to generate new business leads
* Drive cross-selling across the Private Clients division from our existing client base
* Manage new business leads from the initial client conversation through to new business completion, including insurer negotiations and system administration.
* Support the wider team through training and development to drive more enquiries from the existing client book.
* Build a new business pipeline recorded by the Opportunities Dashboard
* Complete meeting Trip Reports within the agreed SLA
Renewal Business
* Developing the renewal strategy for each of your clients to ensure our policies renew smoothly
* Establishment any changes to client demands, needs, cover requirements through fact finding and underwriting information updates
* Negotiating with our trusted insurer panel to secure the right terms for our clients.
* Cross-selling products to existing clients
* Generating new business referrals for the wider Verlingue business from your existing clients.

* Cert CII
Skills, Knowledge & Attributes
* Considerable experience in the Private Clients insurance industry
* Demonstrable drive, self-motivation and determination to achieve results
* An excellent market reputation with insurers
* A proven track record of proactively developing and managing new introducer relationships
* A proven track record of managing HNW clients
* A strong working knowledge of the Acturis system - Desirable
* Professional and able to demonstrate the Verlingue Values & Behaviours to drive culture within the team.
