You will be an effective member of the Gynaecology Ultrasound team. You will provide the highest standard of Gynaecology Ultrasound service to patients in our expanding Non-Obstetric Ultrasound Service, working autonomously in a community setting.
The role will be Monday to Friday
Main duties of the job
You will provide a high standard of work as set by the service regarding the quality of Ultrasound examinations. Ensure that ultrasound examinations are carried out efficiently, maintaining the required standards, and that patients are sent home with minimal delay.

Job responsibilities
1. Assist other Sonographers in maintaining service provision.
2. Ensure regular quality control tests are performed and report any malfunctions.
3. Prioritize patient welfare and comfort at all times.
4. Collaborate with the Referral Management Centre to provide written communication to the referring GP within 2 days of the appointment.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Postgraduate certificate or diploma in Medical Ultrasound, or a qualification from the College of Radiographers, or an equivalent international qualification.
Experience
* Performed and reported on at least 900 ultrasound scans in the past year, maintaining CPD as per guidelines.
* Meet the National Occupation Standards for imaging of anatomical areas.
* English proficiency: native speaker or passed a suitable English exam for non-native speakers.
* Registered with HCPC/SOR as a sonographer in the UK.

* Possess a valid driving license, own a car, and be flexible with working arrangements due to the mobile nature of the role.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This role requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975, with a submission made for disclosure to check for any criminal convictions.
