Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living and home care environments. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to support others, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable adults and children alike. Prior experience in providing care in a supported living environment, mental health care involving managing challenging behaviour, dementia, hospice support, or childcare is highly desirable. All positions are paid and involve working directly with clients requiring personalised assistance with daily activities.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Support with mobility and transfer activities, including heavy lifting where necessary
* Administer medication in accordance with prescribed instructions
* Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
* Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
* Manage behaviour challenges with patience and appropriate techniques
* Support clients with activities of daily living, including toileting and feeding
* Drive clients to appointments or outings safely when required
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to supervisors
* Assist with specialised care needs such as mental health challenges, dementia care, or child supervision as applicable
Requirements
* Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is preferred
* Knowledge of patient care practices including medication administration and first aid
* Skills in behaviour management, mental health and dementia care are advantageous
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility tasks
* Valid driving licence for transportation duties is essential
* Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
* Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as required
* Relevant qualifications or training in caregiving, nursing assistance, or childcare are beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: £12.21-£34.60 per hour
