With projects ranging from state-of-the-art hospitals to educational facilities and commercial developments, they pride themselves on quality delivery and long-term client relationships. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their Cambridge office.Role Overview:This role is ideal for an ambitious M&E Quantity Surveyor looking to progress their career under the guidance of a Senior QS.
You will be involved in the full commercial lifecycle across a range of projects up to £10 million, with a strong focus on mechanical services (including ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and plumbing) and electrical systems (including lighting, power distribution, and life safety systems).Key Responsibilities:Manage cost planning and control across both mechanical and electrical work packagesPrepare, review, and negotiate subcontractor packages including labour and materialsSupport with valuations, variations, and final accountsCollaborate with the Senior QS to ensure accurate monthly reporting and CVRsContribute to tender submissions and procurement planningEnsure change management procedures are followed on live projectsBuild and maintain strong relationships with site teams, suppliers, and clientsEnsure compliance with contractual and commercial frameworks (NEC/JCT)Requirements:Experience in an M&E Quantity Surveying role (contractor-side preferred)Strong understanding of mechanical services (HVAC, plumbing, heating) and electrical systemsFamiliarity with NEC or JCT forms of contractExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProactive, organised, and commercially awareFull UK driving licenceBenefits:Salary up to £60,000 (based on experience)Clear progression path under Senior Quantity Surveyor mentorshipExposure to a diverse portfolio of technically challenging projectsSupportive team culture with long-term development opportunities #LI-PB1
