Role Overview
Herefordshire Council has big ambitions for our bus network. Working with all of our bus operating companies, community transport, and other stakeholders we want to build a smart, integrated network of public transport, driven by data, with the goal of increasing patronage across the county.
It is a big goal and we need a motivated, dynamic manager to lead it.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervise and support staff, providing professional development and support.
* Co‑coordinate and manage various projects in service areas, collaborating with internal colleagues, external partners and providers.
* Strengthen partnership and relationship management skills across organisations.
* Use project management skills to deliver on public transport initiatives.
* Communicate with elected members and officers, raising the profile of public transport across the council and the county.
We are looking for an individual with demonstrable people and leadership attributes, experience in partnership and relationship management, and project management skills.
