We are currently recruiting operatives to join our established team at the Tonbridge Depot. We seek individuals with varying levels of experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical disciplines. Our Operatives work shift patterns, including nights and weekends, so you must be able to commit to this schedule. In return, we offer a competitive salary with overtime, a pension, and a generous annual leave allowance.

All candidates will be required to complete AON testing (online), unless already completed within the last 6 months. Successful applicants will be invited to an assessment centre where they will be briefed on the Operative role. If successful, your application will be considered for current vacancies or added to our talent pool for future opportunities. The assessment centre is scheduled around June 25th; please hold this date, as alternative dates cannot be accommodated.
About the role (External)

Operatives specialize in various fields, but for this role, you'll become a specialist in:
Signalling & Telecoms: You will work with equipment including signals and communication systems that control train movements, level crossings, and points systems. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of technical skills across manual, electrical, and digital equipment.

Additional information:
· Shifts involve a rotating pattern, including days, nights, and weekends.
· Outdoor work in all weather conditions, with appropriate PPE provided.
· Employment is contingent on drug and alcohol testing, medical assessment, and BPSS checks, including hearing and eyesight exams.
· A valid driving license (category B) is required to operate Network Rail vehicles.
· You must be within a 60-minute commute of the location.
