With nearly 1800 pupils, we are one of the largest secondary schools in Edinburgh. Our campus includes the Malala Building (main teaching block), the Eric Liddell Sports Building, the Muriel Spark Building (music and drama suite with studio and theatre), and the Grade 1 listed Brunstfield House. We also have a recently refurbished annexe (Darroch) at Gillespie Street. Staff will travel between these sites as needed.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Food & Health Technology (0.80FTE). This is a permanent position; working pattern to be confirmed. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and have demonstrated contributions to department and whole school activities in previous roles.
Additional Information
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
This position is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
