We’re looking for an experienced and client‑focused Account Manager to join our growing accountancy practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building long‑term client relationships, taking ownership of a portfolio, and delivering a genuinely personal service.
About the Role
You’ll manage a varied portfolio of clients including limited companies, LLPs, and individuals across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on investment‑related clients.
This is a highly client‑facing role where you’ll act as the main point of contact, providing proactive support, clear communication, and trusted advice.
You’ll oversee key compliance areas such as bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll (handled day‑to‑day by our wider team), allowing you to focus on review, coordination, and client management.
You’ll also work closely with professionals across our wider group, including IFAs, mortgage brokers, and estate planners, helping deliver a joined‑up and holistic service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing your own portfolio of clients
* Acting as the primary client contact
* Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll outputs
* Monitoring deadlines and compliance requirements
* Building strong, long‑term client relationships
* Liaising with IFAs, mortgage brokers, and estate planners
* Providing proactive advice and support
About You
* AAT qualified minimum with solid practice experience
* Strong knowledge of corporate and personal tax
* Experience with Xero and IRIS
* Comfortable managing a portfolio independently
* Strong understanding of accounts and compliance
* Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
* Organised, proactive, and team‑oriented
Experience with investment‑related clients is desirable but not essential.
