Your new role As an Accounting Consultant, you will be supporting statutory audit, compliance and regulatory reporting requirements. The Accounting Consultant is essential for ensuring and maintaining an internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting. Working alongside the Finance and Accounting teams, you'll have the opportunity to manage both long and short-term projects effectively while working collaboratively in interdepartmental settings to accomplish tasks and goals. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare legal entity financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. Maintain an internal control structure and procedures for financial reporting. Create, document, review and approve journal entries (e.g., journal upload, general ledger queries). Prepare, review and approve account reconciliations. Proactively analyse financial data to identify and address potential accounting issues on an ongoing basis, ensuring compliance with US and International GAAP. Solve complex accounting problems and develop innovative solutions when resolving issues. Demonstrate understanding of intercompany relationships and organisational structures (e.g., segments, legal entities) required to record both intercompany and intersegment transactions. Perform financial variance analysis and provide explanations (period-over-period actuals) for Income statement, Balance sheet and Cash flow projections. Partner with peers in other finance teams to streamline processes and implement best practice across geographies. What you'll need to succeed Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)Multinational experience Working knowledge of both US GAAP and IFRS accounting and financial statement preparation under multiple GAAPs Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experienced Excel user Desirable Experience with PeopleSoft Financial Excel Add-in Tools such as SmartView What you'll get in return You will work for a global company in a contracted role for a minimum of 12 months.
