Situated in a beautiful setting in Derry City with panoramic views of the river Foyle and close to the city walls. Responsibilities
* Lead service at the City Hotel Food & Beverage outlets and supervise staff on shifts to ensure a consistently high level of service and guest satisfaction.
* Meet and greet customers, assess requirements, and pass on relevant information (e.g., fire evacuation procedures).
* Ensure beverages and food are prepared and served according to company standards and statutory regulations; maintain customer satisfaction at all times.
* Maintain full product knowledge of the hotel facilities.
* Train staff on promotions, including food and drink.
* Respond to customer complaints and comments in a positive and constructive manner.
* Support achievement of the business objectives related to revenue, costs, and teamwork.
* Demonstrate good all-round food service and bar skills; build rapport with guests and staff; supervise shifts to ensure high service delivery.
* Be confident with people, able to sell and think on your feet.
* Enjoy the physical nature of the job and being part of a team; have a flair for customer service and take pride in a job well done.
* Have relevant previous experience and participate in preparing, checking, and monitoring departmental forecasts and rotas to align with budgets and service needs.
* Assist in cost control through correct stock usage, storage, rotation, par levels, purchase orders, and minimising wastage as per Company standards.
* Assist with monthly stock takes and address discrepancies in line with Company standards.
