About this Policy Officer job: You’ll get involved in a wide variety of projects, including policy development, public consultations and engagement work with our social housing tenants. The work is fast-paced, meaning there will never be a dull moment, and there are plenty of opportunities for training and development. Here’s what you’ll get up to: You’ll support the production of the council’s policies and strategies, such as the new Local Plan and the Climate Change Action Plan; You’ll help us to deliver existing strategies and monitor how they’re working; You’ll support our tenant engagement activities, to ensure tenant voices continue to influence changes to our housing services; You’ll help us deliver effective consultation and engagement with our communities and key stakeholders on a variety of projects and proposals.
