Technical Training Support Lead Based in High Wycombe, please check commute before applying! Role Summary The role holder will take day-to-day ownership of the Learning Management System (LMS) and play a key coordination role within the Technical Training department. Acting as a central point of control for learning systems, data, and operational delivery, the role contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recognised best-in-class automotive technical training provision across the Retailer Network, HMUK colleagues, and partner organisations. Working closely with internal stakeholders and affiliate partners, the role supports the planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the technical training curriculum, ensuring learning activity is effectively managed, accurately reported, and aligned to agreed KPIs, accreditation standards, and business outcomes. The role provides early-career leadership through system ownership, process improvement, and stakeholder coordination. We want you to: Learning Management System (Primary Focus) Take operational ownership of the Learning Management System (LMS), leading system implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimisation to support technical training delivery. Act as the subject-matter lead for LMS usage, providing guidance, training, and first-line support to HMUK teams and the Retailer Network. Manage learning content, course structures, user access, reporting, and data integrity within the LMS (Totara experience desirable). Ensure accurate maintenance of learner records, including attendance, course completion, accreditation status, bookings, and compliance data across all relevant platforms. Produce regular and ad-hoc LMS reports to support KPI tracking, utilisation analysis, accreditation requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Training Coordination & Delivery Support Support the implementation of the technical training syllabus, ensuring courses are appropriately scheduled, resourced, booked, attended, and delivered. Coordinate with internal teams, Retailers, and affiliate partners (e.g. HMC, HME / GME, The AA) to support curriculum delivery and learner engagement. Support the identification of training needs using available data sources (e.g. TNA’s, HCX), translating insights into LMS and programme actions. Provide structured administrative and operational support to training programmes, events, and learning pathways across face-to-face, blended, and digital delivery. Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement Maintain consistent engagement with HMUK teams, the Retailer Network, and partner providers to gather feedback, share insights, and support learning outcomes. Support the promotion and awareness of all technical training activities and offerings through appropriate platforms and communication channels. Contribute to evaluation and impact assessment by gathering and analysing training data and learner feedback. Identify opportunities to improve LMS processes, reporting, learner experience, and operational efficiency, escalating recommendations as appropriate. Academy & Operational Support Support the day-to-day operation of the Academy, including reception and facilities support when face-to-face training is delivered. Open and manage the Academy reception area for delegate arrivals, ensuring a professional and customer-focused learner experience. Provide comprehensive coordination and administrative support to the Technical Training team as required. Undertake ad-hoc or additional duties as defined by the line manager, aligned to the role’s scope and development. Budgeting and purchase order financial management. About you: Essential Experience in an administrative, coordination, or systems-based role within a customer-focused or retail environment; experience in training, learning & development, or HR is advantageous. Strong working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, with confidence managing users, content, reporting, and data accuracy. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across Retailers, internal teams, affiliates, and partner providers. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements. Strong analytical skills with an understanding of performance measures, data interpretation, and continuous improvement. Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Confident, professional, and customer-focused, with the ability to positively represent HMUK. Desirable Experience working with Totara LMS or similar enterprise learning platforms. Exposure to automotive Retailer networks and/or OEM environments. Early leadership or coordination experience, including process ownership or system responsibility. An appreciation of financial and commercial drivers within a training or operational context.
