Job Description: Social Worker Who You Are You possess a relevant social work qualification (i.e., DipSW, CQSW, or degree in social work) and are registered with Social Work England. With a strong understanding of child development, attachment theory, and the impact of childhood trauma, you are adept at building positive, supportive relationships with families. Your experience includes working with Looked After Children and understanding permanence planning. You are committed to using the Signs of Safety practice model and have proficiency in English, allowing you to communicate effectively and influence others to coordinate services for children's safety and well-being. What the Job Involves As a Social Worker in the Family Support & Child Protection team, you will engage and support children and families to ensure their safety and welfare. The role involves managing a caseload, conducting holistic assessments, and developing contingency plans that leverage family support networks. You will regularly review children's plans, engage in legal proceedings if necessary, and work closely with multi-agency partners and families to provide holistic support. The job requires contributing to the development of other Social Workers and participating in regular professional learning opportunities.
