GVR Solutions are working with a respected specialist drylining contractor based in Hackney whodeliverhigh-quality internal finishes, fire-stopping and remediation works across London and the South East. With a growing pipeline of fire-safety projects, theyare looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of major fire remediation schemes.
Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
Manage fire remediation projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and the Building Safety Act, particularly in HRB environments.
Coordinate and supervise firestopping, fire door remediation, and associated maintenance works.
Lead and manage project teams including Site Managers, subcontractors, and Resident Liaison Officers.
Develop and maintain project programmes, risk registers, and quality assurance documentation.
Liaise with residents and stakeholders to ensure clear communication, access arrangements, and satisfaction.
Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS and relevant fire safety legislation.
Manage procurement of materials and subcontractors, ensuring best value and compliance.
Chair project meetings and produce progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure accurate record keeping and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
Promote a culture of uncompromising safety and continuous improvement.
Undertake 12 hours of CPD per annum and maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety regulations and best practices.
The Project Manager must have/be:
Experience managing fire remediation projects including firestopping and fire door works.
Strong knowledge of CDM and BSA compliance.
Experience working in HRBs as Principal Contractor.
SMSTS, CSCS Manager Card and Fire Safety Awareness Training.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
High ethical standards and professionalism.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate subcontractors.
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Knowledge of fire safety systems, construction sequencingand risk mitigation.
Resilient, proactive, and solution-focused.
Able to manage challenging situations and maintain project momentum.
