Blue Legal are partnering with a national law firm who are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join their London office. You will support senior BD managers and partners in delivering a coordinated approach to lead generation and new revenue.
* Provide general support to the Business Development team across a range of activities, including preparing for and assisting with events, pitches, and meetings.
* Assist the Business Development team with account management activities, such as attending meetings with the Senior BDM and taking and circulating minutes.
* Conduct desk-based research to identify new lead opportunities and prospective clients, including background research.
* Build and maintain relationships with work referrers in the local market, including representing the firm at local networking events.
* Manage office-led events (including in-house seminars and networking events), covering invitation preparation, delegate list management, event hosting, and post-event follow-up.
* Research relevant local industry events for lawyers and coordinate attendance and bookings.
* Carry out follow-up activity from networking and business development initiatives to help generate meetings with clients, key targets, and intermediaries.
* Support the Senior BD Manager and partners in developing and maintaining prospect and target pipelines.
The Candidate:
* Previous experience within a similar role in a legal or professional services environment
* Educated to degree level, ideally a marketing or business related degree.
* Experience with the use of social media channels particularly LinkedIn.
