Fantastic opportunity for a Personal Tax Assistant to join a prominent, well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Newcastle.
As a Personal Tax Assistant, you will be responsible for:
* Working closely with clients to ensure accurate and timely submission of personal and partnership tax returns.
* Playing a key role in preparing for the upcoming Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self-Assessment (ITSA) changes, helping clients transition smoothly to digital record-keeping and quarterly reporting.
To qualify for this Personal Tax Assistant role, ideally you will meet the following:
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a personal tax role within an accountancy firm or similar
* Willingness to learn and progress
* Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* Confident communicator with a client-focused approach
* Experience of Excel spreadsheets
* Experience of Xero is preferable (but not essential)
