Following significant investment in its production and distribution facilities the company is positioned for sustained growth over the coming years. As part of their ongoing growth and planned succession, they are now seeking an enthusiastic and commercially astute Finance Manager to join their team and develop with the business.
The Opportunity
As Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Finance, taking responsibility for management accounts, cash flow, payroll etc and contribute to maintaining robust financial controls. They would like to recruit someone who enjoys finding ways to improve efficiency through enhancing or introducing new processes and systems. This role also offers exciting progression opportunities and ideally they would like the incoming Finance Manager to be succession planning for their current Head of Finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary for senior leadership.
* Lead budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning cycles.
* Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with all statutory requirements.
* Oversee and execute transactional finance functions including payroll and credit control.
* Manage audit processes and external auditor relationships.
* Drive process improvements and systems development to support growth.
* Assist with continuous process improvement and systems development.
* Transition to Head of Finance within 12 months.
What We're Looking For
* Finance background, either qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) or qualified by experience.
* At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial finance or management accounting, within industry.
* Management accountant background with a proven ability to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis.
* Proven track record of delivering accurate reporting and insightful analysis.
* Advanced IT skills and experience, particularly with Excel and accounting systems (SAP advantageous).
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders.
* Proactive, hands on and confident in driving change.
* Ambition and capability to lead the finance function in the near term.
