The Lead Relationship Manager is assigned to a Portfolio and/or Client Focused Area, supporting the ambition for growth in the Market Unit. Reporting to the Head of Client Account Management, the Lead Relationship Manager is responsible for leading and ensuring that the business development function is working effectively to drive sales and revenue growth from the associated client business area.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
You will be an expert in demand generation activities relevant to this Client Focused Area and will play a lead role in devising strategies to promote Capgemini in these forums with tangible business results. You will be part of the team responsible for improving Capgemini’s credibility within the Client Focused Area, framing and driving business opportunities, leveraging delivery teams, and shaping propositions to meet client requirements in collaboration with the Delivery Team, Solution Architects, and Proposal Development teams. Your responsibilities include sales closure, achieving sales targets, and working closely with partners to identify new partnership opportunities.
Key for this role will be the ability to assimilate complex Capgemini business propositions and use them to guide client conversations. The fundamental skills of client need and issue discovery are critical, as is the ability to switch dynamically between issue discovery and proposition qualification. These skills are necessary both at the early stages of a client relationship and during ongoing deal and account management.
Your skills and experience
* Ability to deliver excellent outcomes for clients with high levels of client intimacy and satisfaction.
* Creativity and innovation, with gravitas to lead client and Board level meetings.
* Experience working for a Large IT or Consulting organization with responsibility for Business Development.
* Understanding cross-cutting opportunities and making relevant connections for clients.
* Supporting the creation of innovative offerings with client intelligence.
* Working with the Head of Client Account Management and Lead Relationship Managers to achieve business development targets.
* Having a network within relevant commercial organizations, including software and hardware vendors, industry analysts, advisors, and prospective clients.
* Excellent understanding of the Public Sector domain and key trends.
* Creating compelling value propositions that address client needs while remaining profitable.
* Providing input into opportunity review processes and qualifying client demand.
* Aligning account strategies with overarching Market Unit strategies.
* Developing and maintaining relevant partnership arrangements.
* Providing key inputs into business cases, opportunities, and proposals.
* Strong technical experience with hands-on IT solution/service delivery.
* Industry experience outside of IT/Consulting, especially in the Public Sector.
Your security clearance
You will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, but additional checks may be required if you have resided outside the UK in the last 3 years. Throughout the recruitment process, questions about your security clearance eligibility will be asked.
