Security Requirements
This role requires candidates to hold, or be eligible to obtain, a high level of UK Security Clearance. Eligible applicants must be sole British nationals, have resided in the UK for at least 10 years, and not have spent more than 28 consecutive days outside the UK in the last five years.
Future Duties and Responsibilities
* Apply engineering, automation, and DevOps practices to build and maintain systems that keep the country safe.
* Design and deliver robust, scalable, and secure platforms.
* Collaborate with developers, testers, and platform specialists to diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges.
* Recreate tests, validate configurations, enhance pipelines, and automate key elements of the software development lifecycle.
* Ensure quality assurance of applications and their deployment into traditional IaC‑driven environments such as Puppet‑managed infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms.
* Actively participate in Kanban and/or Scrum events, helping to plan, estimate, and prioritise work.
