Job Title: ASB and Domestic Abuse Caseworker
Join our team to lead prevention and intervention efforts to help residents sustain their tenancies. Based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the Council's vision of safe communities.
Your focus will be on intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, ensuring referrals and signposting are made swiftly and accurately. You will support vulnerable residents to ensure they feel safe in their homes, develop strong partnerships, and employ various intervention measures to achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities
1. Address reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse casework.
2. Support victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and General needs stock, conducting risk assessments and referring to support agencies.
3. Attend meetings with stakeholders to identify and implement solutions.
4. Deliver resident-focused responses to ASB complaints and tenancy breaches.
5. Create and manage action plans for ASB resolution.
6. Utilize legislation and best practices for preventative and legal actions, including mediation.
7. Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators.
8. Prepare and serve legal notices; represent the organization in court as needed.
9. Ensure excellent customer service and effective communication with victims, families, and perpetrators.
10. Build respectful relationships, ensuring views are accurately recorded.
11. Provide detailed reports based on evidence and needs assessment.
12. Handle child and adult safeguarding issues promptly and effectively.
13. Manage complex cases involving vulnerable perpetrators of ASB and abuse.
Skills and Requirements
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
* Experience managing tenancy-related breaches in the public sector.
