This is an exciting opportunity for a experienced Band 6 /7 registered nurse looking to expand their management and leadership skills in running a nurse-led haemodialysis satellite unit at County hospital. The unit has 12 stations and operated Mon - Sat including a twilight session on Mon/Wed/Fri. The main duties of this role include providing leadership and support to the dialysis unit team in delivering haemodialysis treatment to patients To provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership to the unit team, ensuring high standards of research based practice and clinical care. The post holder will use teaching, facilitation and supervisory skills to develop and maintain safe competent practice within a clinical environment conducive to reflective practice Management of staff including sickness management, rostering of staff, performance reviews along with being responsible for finance including management of unit budget and the health and safety. The post holder will be the first point of contact for patients and relatives and will be responsible for the management of complaints, care and management of the dialysis patients and will be liaising with patient transport. To ensure that the nursing staff within areas of responsibility in the dialysis unit are developed to offer a professional, skilled, competent and quality service.
