Requirements
You will have degree in Social Work, CQSW, Dip SW, CSS (with appropriate option).
Responsibilities
You will assist in maintaining people in the community by providing a range of social work and care management tasks. These include the assessment of individual need, the negotiation of flexible packages of care, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages.
The Individual
You will have working knowledge and experience of risk and needs assessments, experience and knowledge of social work values along with knowledge of community care services and Adult Support and Protection. You will have good communication skills - verbal/written, the ability to prioritise workloads and meet challenges and deadlines and the ability to demonstrate social work values. You will have the ability to be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council within a specified time. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
