Position: Painter Department: Building Division Reporting to: Building Supervisor Status of post: Full-Time Permanent Salary: Remuneration Package will be competitive and in line with experience Job Description This role will include: Our clients projects include working on Government buildings, schools, hospitals and SEM spaces. Preparing painting surfaces by washing walls, repairing holes, or removing old paint Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes to various surfaces Providing decorative and faux finishes as the project requires Handling planning and prep work in an efficient manner Calculating the amount of materials and time required for said project Taping off areas as needed Choosing and purchasing paint, brushes, and other supplies from vendors Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete Carryout works to high quality standards as per client specification Undertake any other duties deemed necessary by management to ensure the efficient running of the business This is a full-time post, working 39 hours per week Carrying out work according to Irwin M&Es policies and procedures Company van and mobile phone is included Essential Criteria Proven experience as a painter Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.) Good basic math skills Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc. Conscientious with great attention to detail Attention to detail and precision in workmanship Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Desirable Criteria Whilst not essential it would be advantageous for the candidate to have: Valid CSR Card CTC clearance The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritising and working with little supervision, and be willing to attend seminars and courses where required while working within Irwin M&Es guidelines.
