TIG Welder – Permanent position at a precision engineering company in Trafford, England, North West.

- Location: Trafford, England, North West
- Job Type: Permanent
- Salary: £30,000 per annum (approx. £15.60 per hour PAYE)
- Working hours: 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) – 37 hours per week. Shift options: 6:00 am – 3:45 pm, 6:30 am – 4:15 pm, or 7:00 am – 4:45 pm.
Duties
- TIG welding of steel and exotic metals.
- Soldering, brazing, drilling and basic assembly duties as required.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand component specifications.
- Use inspection equipment to monitor and ensure quality of produced components.
- Complete paperwork in accordance with the company quality system.
- Ensure all manufactured and assembled products meet quality standards.
- Work flexibly within other manufacturing areas to meet workload demands.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a TIG welder (time served).
- Relevant experience specifically in TIG welding.
- Mechanical engineering problem‑solving skills.
- Knowledge of engineering units, thread sizes, flanges, pipe fittings, etc. is an advantage.
- Flexibility to move between different areas and perform tasks beyond welding.
