Job overview
The post holder’s role is to support the Pre-Assessment clinical team and associated processes to deliver a comprehensive patient-centred service. The post holder will be responsible for the reception area and general administration to ensure the smooth running of all related clinics and maintain high standards of customer care.
The post holder will need to prioritize conflicting work demands and work effectively with the Pre-Assessment team, multidisciplinary teams, internal departments, and external agencies to ensure continuity and excellence in patient care.
Main duties of the job
* Ensure all visitors are greeted politely, courteously, and helpfully, presenting a positive image of the service, and remain calm in all situations.
* Escalate wait times to the manager and provide patients with up-to-date information and solutions to make their visit more comfortable during longer waits.
* Arrive and depart patients on EPIC in a timely manner, marking no-shows (DNA) accordingly.
* Complete all relevant patient clinical outcomes on EPIC accurately and promptly, maintaining good communication with specialties to ensure outcomes are acted upon.
