Job Summary: DE&S Deca is a specialist part of Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) supporting a wide range of Defence avionics, electronics, and components. This role requires UK residency for the last 5 years and Security Check (SC) clearance, which must be obtained without caveats. The process can be lengthy, and offers may be withdrawn if clearance isn't granted within 12 months.
Job Description:
Are you passionate about Automatic Test Systems (ATS) and equipment testing? If you enjoy developing new testing regimes, supporting test equipment, and working in a team environment, this role is ideal. You will develop and support Test Program Sets (TPS) for a variety of equipment, including PCBs and LRUs, and assist with repairs, documentation, and migration of test solutions.
Interviews are face-to-face at MOD Sealand, starting the week of 30th June 2025. The role involves full-time site attendance with some hybrid options.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage engineering requirements including definition, architecture, and change management.
* Develop and maintain system requirements and test documentation for ATS TPS.
* Evaluate and verify design and manufacturing of TPS hardware and documentation.
* Provide expertise for Urgent Operational Requirements (UORs).
* Support migration of test solutions from obsolete to supported platforms.
* Ensure TPS development adheres to schedules and budgets.
Person Specification:
Essential:
* HNC level or equivalent in electronic engineering or relevant industry experience.
* Proven electronic repair experience on various systems.
* Knowledge of analogue and digital testing techniques.
* Ability to solve complex, non-routine problems.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of computer programming languages such as C and Python.
