Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring, proactive and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a specialist setting in the Worcester (WR4) area. The school provides highly personalised education for pupils with Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and ADHD. About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital part in creating a nurturing environment where pupils feel safe, understood and empowered. You will help children with ASD, SEMH and ADHD access learning, regulate their emotions and build essential communication and social skills. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists and families to provide consistent, child‑centred support and help maintain an atmosphere built on trust, encouragement and mutual respect. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with ASD, SEMH and ADHD. Use structured routines, visual supports, emotional‑regulation tools and positive behaviour strategies. Adapt activities to suit individual learning styles, sensory needs and attention levels. Support pupils’ communication, emotional literacy and self‑management skills. Encourage independence, resilience and confidence in a calm, respectful way. Assist during lessons, transitions, break times and community‑based experiences. Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment where every achievement is celebrated.
