The Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Geography Teacher to join a dynamic Humanities department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator who is passionate about making Geography accessible and engaging for all students. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge, a creative approach to teaching, and a genuine desire to inspire the next generation to understand the world around them. You will be covering a period of absence, ensuring a smooth continuation of learning for our students. Your Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective geography lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their learning goals.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel confident and motivated to learn.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of learning.
* Contribute to the wider school community, including participating in departmental meetings.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who need additional help.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance as required.
What We're Looking For
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related subject.
* Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
* Exceptional subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
* A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to fit into our school's established routines.
* The ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
* A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
