Job Description Joining the team as a Warehouse Shift Manager, you will be responsible for proactively managing the day to day aspects of the operation whilst focusing on delivering consistent performance. You will also work alongside the Warehouse Manager to fine tune the current operation as well as manage and motivate a team of employees. Working hours: Monday to Friday rotating, 06.00-14.00/14.00-22.00 Key Duties of a Warehouse Shift Manager: Leading and motivating a team of General Warehouse Operatives in their daily workload. Managing team attendance, performance, productivity and accuracy levels. Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of this is inaccordance with customer schedules and to quality standards. Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by overseeing physical counts and reconciliation utilising help of others in the warehouse team Carrying out daily inspections to ensure full compliance with policies and procedures, and KPIs are being achieved. Driving continuous improvement within the warehouse and implementing plans to consistently improve the performance. Maintaining a good working knowledge of warehouse operational areas including returns, inventory control, co-pack, delivery schedules along with Health & Safety procedures. Communicating effectively regularly with staff, customers and other areas of the business to maintain and develop positive relationships. Controlling labour costs whilst ensuring a flow of work is maintained throughout the warehouse without any disruption to the business. Ability to sustain and develop team working and team based problem solving Possess the ability to lead and motivate a team of people to succeed by utilising appropriate interpersonal styles including leading by example, setting objectives and defining responsibilities to give a clear sense of direction Qualifications Proven experience within a similar management position within Warehouse Operations. Must have a Can Do Attitude and a desire to improve People Management experience - Manage, motivate and support a large team. Understanding and experience with HR processes in relation to people management. Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety. Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships. PC literate including good working knowledge of MS packages and WMS. Fork Lift Truck licence may be required You will be flexible in your approach and working hours.
