My client is looking for a talented Naval Architect to join their expert team based at Portsmouth Naval Base. What you’ll be doing:
* Performing structural analysis using ANSYS Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools and theoretical methods
* Conducting ship stability assessments with Paramarine software
* Supporting inclining experiments on naval vessels and conducting post-analysis evaluations
* Designing ship modifications and capability upgrades
* Carrying out drydock technical assessments and contributing to ship maintenance planning
* Consulting on naval base infrastructure requiring naval architecture expertise
* Involvement across the full ship lifecycle—from concept design to in-service support for naval platforms
What we’re looking for:
* Degree-qualified (MEng) in Naval Architecture, Marine Technology, or Ship Science (essential)
* Experience with ANSYS Workbench FEA tools (desirable)
* Familiarity with Paramarine or similar naval architecture software (desirable)
* Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD or Inventor (desirable)
