Inspire Through Art – Become an Art Tutor in Prison Education
Milton Keynes College Prison Services Team is seeking an Art Tutors to join our education team at HMP Bullingdon. This is a unique opportunity to share your creativity with learners.
We are looking for artists and teachers who can deliver engaging, hands-on sessions in Art. Whether you are an experienced tutor or a working artist seeking to move into teaching, your passion and creativity are what matter most. The ability to inspire and enthuse are wide range of learners through Art with a flexible and supportive approach is essential.
A recognised teaching qualification (minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training) with experience is preferred, however for the right candidate with relevant industry experience, full training and mentoring will be provided.
Milton Keynes College is passionate about reducing re-offending by providing learners with qualifications and skills that they can apply to employment whilst in custody and upon release. We would like you to be part of the learner's journey, offering your skills and knowledge to guide them throughout their courses. Classes runs all year round, Monday–Thursday (09:00–11:30 and 13:45–16:30), with morning sessions on Fridays. Flexibility around the prison regime is required.
By teaching art in prison, you'll be making a real difference to learners' lives, giving them the chance to develop skills and confidence that extend far beyond the classroom. This is a role where your creativity directly contributes to rehabilitation and positive change.
