About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP Wealstun, a category C prison located in Wetherby.
HMP Wealstun is a male prison with a capacity of 832. We are looking for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join a team of around 12, supporting patients with mental health needs. The ideal candidate would have experience working in a secure environment and be able to work independently.
Hours
Working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with 1 weekend in 4.
Salary
This full-time position offers an annual salary of up to £47,466 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Assessing and managing patients' mental health needs.
* Working collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload, and developing holistic care plans.
* Contributing to our nursing strategy and vision by providing evidence-based, personalized care influenced by patient feedback.
* Delivering non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships, and maintaining professional boundaries.
* Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, always considering safeguarding policies.
