Plant Supervisor – Renewable Energy - Somerset –£48,
The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a hands on and motivated Plant Supervisor to join a leading renewable energy business in Somerset. You will support the daily operations and maintenance of biomass and combined heat and power (CHP) systems. This is a practical, physically active role, ideal for someone who enjoys mechanical work and is looking to develop a long term career in the renewable energy sector. Responsibilities include monitoring system performance, conducting routine maintenance, assisting external contractors, and ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed.

The Candidate:
- Basic mechanical knowledge (pumps, valves, engines)
- Physically fit and able to work in industrial and outdoor environments
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to tasks
- Willingness to work weekends on a rota basis
- Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
- Experience with biomass boilers or CHP units (desirable)
- Electrical awareness, understanding of safety systems and interlocks (desirable)
- Reliable, punctual, proactive, and safety-conscious
- Eager to learn and develop within the renewable energy sector
