SEMH Mentor
We are seeking experienced and energetic SEMH mentors to join the team at our partner school in Hailsham.
Our partner school, that's part of an Ofsted 'outstanding' multi-academy trust, provides a nurturing educational experience for children identified as having social, emotional, and mental health needs. With a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment,the school offers students the opportunity to enjoy a full educational experience where they can thrive emotionally and physically. While primarily catering to children with SEMH needs, the school also provides additional and/or different provisions for a range of other needs, including cognition and learning needs, communication and interaction needs, sensory and/or physical needs, and moderate learning difficulties.

Role and Responsibilities:
Supervising and providing support for pupils with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
Setting challenging and demanding expectations and promoting self-esteem and independence.
Providing feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
Assisting with the planning of learning activities.
Monitoring pupils' responses to learning activities and accurately recording achievement/progress as directed.
Promoting good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is essential.
Devotion and resilience to support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
