Job Aim and Purpose
To administer and support the TechnologyOne Financial Management System, ensuring optimal performance, user support, and system integrity. The role bridges Finance and IT functions to deliver reliable financial operations and reporting capabilities
Responsibilities
* Administer and maintain the TechnologyOne Financial Management System (FMS), including configuration, updates, and troubleshooting.
* Support technically with the system with the ability to get data in and out of the system, creation of eForms and other efficiency saving measures.
* Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the system.
* Monitor system performance and ensure uptime and reliability.
* Co-ordinate release testing and implement system enhancements.
* Collaborate with Finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and project costing.
* Ensure accurate data quality, integrity, and consistency across modules.
* Provide support for internal and external audits.
* Identify opportunities for process automation and system optimisation.
* Lead or support change management initiatives related to financial systems.
* Develop and maintain technical documentation, including data flow diagrams, workflows, processes and procedures and maintain system manuals.
* Act as the liaison between Finance, IT, and external stakeholders.
* Assist in providing training and support to end-users.
* Communicate system changes and updates effectively across departments.
Knowledge
* Understanding of technical and evolving products to deliver efficiencies
* Strong knowledge of ETL tools or custom ETL development
* Understanding of financial concepts and reporting standards
Skills and Experience
* Excellent technical skills to investigate and process large volume of data including technical T-scripts
* Creation of data files to successfully import into and export out of systems
* Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines
* Experience with data integration between ERP and third-party systems
* Experience in financial systems administration
* Experience with the TechnologyOne platform
* Prior work in local government or public sector
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
* Analytical thinking and problem-solving
* Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
