Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants (TAs) to provide general classroom support across a range of vibrant and welcoming primary schools in Gateshead, Newcastle, and Sunderland.
About the Role:
As a General Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing throughout the school day. You may be required to support individual students or groups, assist with classroom management, and contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
* Working with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis to reinforce learning
* Assisting with classroom organisation and behaviour management
* Helping to create a stimulating and safe learning environment
* Supporting pupils with varying needs, including those with SEND
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
* Recent classroom-based experience in a primary school setting or
* Experience working in a childcare setting (e.g. nursery, early years, after-school clubs)
* A patient, caring, and enthusiastic approach
* A willingness to work flexibly across different schools and year groups
A relevant childcare or education qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 TA Certificate) is desirable but not essential.
