Your Role
Do you have a passion for all things botanical? Are you looking to work on engaging projects with a supportive team of experts?
We are seeking a Botanist to join our growing team of enthusiastic and experienced botanists, BNG specialists, and ecologists.
Based out of our Edinburgh office but working closely with our sister team in Glasgow, you would work on a range of projects throughout Scotland (including the Highlands and Islands) and Ireland.
Our team is based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, working with disciplines like Biodiversity Net Gain, Natural Capital, arboriculture, landscape architecture, hydrology, historic environment, and geotechnical specialists.
We support personal development through our Peer Partnership programme, on-the-job training, and external courses. Many team members work flexibly in terms of hours and location.
We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, even if you don't meet every criterion. Experience may be more relevant than formal qualifications, and support for certifications like FISC is available.
What We Look For
* Excellent plant and habitat identification skills, ideally FISC Level 4 or equivalent.
* Experience in field surveys and biological data collection (e.g., NVC).
* Familiarity with Scottish habitats and vegetation communities.
* Experience in ecological reporting and habitat management plans, including peatlands, is desirable.
