About the role
We are looking for a highly motivated, caring, pro‑active individual to join our friendly and dedicated radiotherapy team of 24 radiographers. This small, busy department delivers high quality care and services and is equipped with 2 Varian Truebeams, 1 Siemens CT scanner and Raystation planning system. The team has successfully implemented SGRT to become a tattoo‑less department and is keen to adopt SGRT and IGRT innovations.
Responsibilities
* Provide and plan radiotherapy treatments using Varian Truebeam and Siemens CT scanners with Raystation.
* Use AlignRT and SGRT for patient setup and positioning.
* Maintain equipment and participate in quality assurance and calibration.
* Gain competence across all areas of the department and support student radiographers.
* Assist with the placement of therapy students from Queen Margaret University and Glasgow Caledonian University.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified band 5 or band 6 radiographer.
* HCPC registered.
* Student radiographers due to qualify imminently are also encouraged to apply.
* Experience with radiotherapy planning and delivery, including IGRT and SABR.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
