Teaching Personnel are working with one of our partner secondary schools who are seeking to appoint a dynamic and experienced Senior Head of Year to join the dedicated and committed pastoral team. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction for key pastoral issues, providing guidance and support to their Heads of Year while ensuring the well-being and academic success of every student.
The Senior Head of Year will have the following key responsibilities:
· Lead by Example: As the Senior Head of Year, you'll be at the forefront of promoting a culture of care and support within the school community. You'll inspire and empower the Heads of Year to deliver exceptional pastoral care, setting the standard for excellence in student welfare.
· Strategic Vision: We're looking for someone with a keen strategic mind who can develop and implement innovative strategies to address the evolving needs of the schools children.
· Mentorship and Coaching: You will have experience of developing others and the role will involve mentoring and coaching their Heads of Year, equipping them with the skills and confidence to excel in their roles. Your guidance will be instrumental in fostering a cohesive and effective pastoral team.
· Collaboration and Communication: You'll collaborate closely with senior leadership, curriculum middle leaders, parents, and external agencies to create a supportive network for the children. Your excellent communication skills will ensure that everyone is aligned in the schools mission to help every child be the best they can be.
The successful candidate will have significant middle leadership experience and will be able to demonstrate tangible impact in key pastoral areas. This role is especially suitable for colleagues who may be looking to move into a Senior Leadership position within the next 2 years.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
